Entry Guidelines:
NOTY accepts email entries for our manuscript award!
Since production cost is a large reason many authors are unable to produce a novel, we removed
superfluous expenses for entry. No printing and mailing of a manuscript. Our email entry is
parsed down to our minimum needs. No long queries required.
Email Entry:
The format for email entries is Microsoft Word file or PDF. Entries should come as an
attachment file.
In addition to the entry, please include the required contact information (outlined
below)and state in the body of the email one to two sentences describing your novel's
theme, and one or two sentences describing your novel's plot. Please do not write a
chapter-by-chapter synopsis. The explanations should be brief.
Examples:
Theme: I analyze the knowability of reality. Are our senses reliable interpreters of
truth?
(For theme, do not describe the action of your story in lieu of the description of the
concepts.)
Plot: A scientist creates a machine that can objectively interpret sensory data.
Do not write two long paragraphs of descriptive information. We merely need a
working description for our filing. We are judging the works not the queries.
